Welcome Message

The YES (Yellow Sea Environment Sustainability) Initiative is a
global governance framework established to develop and
implement new strategies for ensuring the sustainability of the Yellow Sea's environment.
Comprising international organizations, local governments, public institutions,
private companies, local communities and NGOs, academia, research institutions, and experts,
the YES Initiative aims to drive practical environmental improvements
in the Yellow Sea through multilateral cooperation.

Designated by the UN as one of the world’s Large Marine Ecosystems (LME),
the Yellow Sea is currently facing severe environmental threats
due to climate change-related natural disasters
and land-based pollutants such as microplastics and wastewater.

In response, the YES Initiative is building an international network
for collaboration and knowledge sharing while planning and executing various initiatives
for marine ecosystem conservation.

Our key activities include :

  1. Public awareness campaigns to encourage citizen engagement in environmental protection
  2. Joint surveys and research to prevent marine pollution
  3. Regular academic conferences to develop environmental assessment indicators for the Yellow Sea
  4. Customized countermeasures tailored to different pollution sources, ensuring effective action

The Yellow Sea is a precious natural asset that must be passed down to future generations.
To secure its sustainability, the YES Initiative is taking action—
and we invite you to join us in this vital mission.
